About the coffee

About the producer:
Marlon belongs to the third generation of coffee growers in my family. From a very young age, he was surrounded by the world of coffee and gradually acquired knowledge in the field. He moved away to continue his studies in Colombia and abroad. Upon leaving Colombia, he realized the potential of coffee farming in his country and returned to expand his knowledge of specialty coffee. He took courses in cupping and roasting, and little by little, he fell more in love with this rewarding work. Eventually, he began growing high-quality coffees and using both natural and specialty processes to bring his coffees to remote parts of Colombia. His coffees are characterized by their pure profiles and terroir.

At "La Reserva," located in Palestina and with an extension to Pitalito, Huila, Marlon works side by side with his uncles, combining tradition and modernity. Together they cultivate exceptional varieties such as Gesha, Bourbon, Pacamara, and Sidra. With his family's experience and training in tasting and production, they have achieved a coffee of pure excellence.

About the process:
Oxidation in cherries for 24 hours. The coffee is then pulped and stored in aerobic bins at a temperature of 36°C. A thermal shock is performed with room-temperature water to enhance its properties and stop microbial growth, thus increasing its shelf life.

Yellow fruit, floral and aromatic, clean drink with splashing notes, a pleasant, long aftertaste with notes of pine and aromatic herbs; juicy acidity and a creamy body.

What awaits you in the cup?
A sweet and indulgent experience that evokes the taste of that fresh, fruity melon you find in a candy store. Its sweetness and balance are reminiscent of raspberry jam, making it a true delight that will be available for just a few weeks.

About the roastery

In 2021, Dani gave up his motorcycle to purchase a 1 kg coffee roaster. What began as a hobby soon became a passion he couldn't resist. That same year, he competed in the Catalan Coffee Roasters Championship organized by Aeropress and emerged victorious. This success was repeated when he won the Spanish Championship in 2021 and the Catalan Championship the following year.

Riding on the momentum of these successes, Dani and Agata began to shape what is now Harmony, delving into marketing, design, social media, and photography. The team is small but dedicated: Dani is the founder and head roaster, responsible for bean selection, roasting, quality control, and maintaining close customer relationships. Agata, on the other hand, handles back office operations, orders, social media, web design, customer service, customer support, and accounting.

The Barcelona-based company aims to be close to its partners and customers, offering quality and warmth in every cup of coffee they share.
