About the coffee

In the cup:
We get an intense blood orange sweetness and a bright lemonade acidity. We get a classic "Pink Bourbon" profile of flowers and sugary sweetness. This coffee has a light body and a lingering, dancing acidity.

About the manufacturer:
La Muralla is an informal group of young producers located in one of Huila's southernmost municipalities, San Agustín. Our import partner, Osito, began working in San Agustín long before we even had a legal business, and some of the first producers we met here are still part of our work there today. On average, this is the youngest group of producers we work with, as most are in their mid- to late 20s. With this youth comes energy and passion for producing high-quality specialty coffee.

Variety:
Pink Bourbon is a variety grown primarily in Huila, Colombia. Although it's newer, it has quickly gained popularity due to its bright, sweet, and aromatic profile. It's now known to be an Ethiopian landrace, but further information is currently unavailable.

About the roastery

September is a micro-roastery in Canada's capital, Ottawa. They believe that coffee is more than just a caffeine hit. It's about highlighting a story of farmers, producers, processing methods, terroir, and coffee variety, all working in harmony to create a unique experience.

Their core mission at September is to share the coffee they love. They aim to do this by sourcing their coffee with this in mind, while maintaining direct relationships with producers or with transparent and relationship-oriented import partners.

September roasts light and brightt, aiming to highlight a profile and approach that they believe best represents the coffees and their preferred roasting style.
